Taken from Rat Rod Addiction on Facebook A classic algebra and logic puzzle. I've seen these done with all sorts of things. Here's the algebraic breakdown: p+p+p=30, 3p=30, p=10 p+t+t=20, Where p=10: 10+2t=20, 2t=10, t=5 t+2s+2s=9 Where t=5: 5+4s=9, 4s=4, s=1 And that's where we hit the logic puzzle part. Why 2s? well, look at the last line of graphics in the middle and compare that to line 3. There is a double icon. Logically we can assume this means it's double. It requires you to work backwards through the problem. Note: This is a fair assumption from our uninvolved standpoint. The last line: t+s*p = ? remembering the order of operations gives us: 1*10 and then + 5 which is 15. 15 is the correct answer where our assumption is correct. without the assumption the equation cannot be simplified, only rewritten as 10*x+5. The single shock absorber being undefined and thus represented by 'x' Solved Left to right we get 60. But that'd require the equation ...
We don't always understand each other, but what they hey, let's try anyway.
